Luis A. Biojo was born in Tumaco, Narino, Colombia on 28th October
1952. He lives in Cali, Valle, Colombia. He is married with Maria
Cristina Bejarano and is the father of the children Nilson and Pamela.
His musical career
started at the age of 7, when his father, who also
was a musician, orchestra leader and lecturer, motivated him to make music.
for a period of 10 years, Luis worked as a professional musician, composer,
and private teacher. He plays the following instruments: guitar, kuban tres,
bass, congas, bongos, and small percussion. As a composer he is a member of
SAYCO (Colombia).
He is the leader and bass guitarist of the orchestra B&B band and
of the folkloristic group El Quinto chango. He is the musical director of the
foundation Oscar Scarpetta, which commits itself to the protection of youths
in Colombia. He wrote a book titled "The black man in the Columbian
history".
