Luis A. Biojo was born in Tumaco, Narino, Colombia on 28th October 1952. He lives in Cali, Valle, Colombia. He is married with Maria Cristina Bejarano and is the father of the children Nilson and Pamela.

His musical career started at the age of 7, when his father, who also was a musician, orchestra leader and lecturer, motivated him to make music. for a period of 10 years, Luis worked as a professional musician, composer, and private teacher. He plays the following instruments: guitar, kuban tres, bass, congas, bongos, and small percussion. As a composer he is a member of SAYCO (Colombia).

He is the
leader and bass guitarist of the orchestra B&B band and of the folkloristic group El Quinto chango. He is the musical director of the foundation Oscar Scarpetta, which commits itself to the protection of youths in Colombia. He wrote a book titled "The black man in the Columbian history".

He was trained at the Technical Industrial Institute Antonio José Camacho (draftsman) and took the diploma for history at Del Valle University and the degree of an M.A. at the Catholic University of Manizalez. He has been a lecturer at the Technical Industrial School of Desepaz for 23 years.
